The Let Boom Speak initiative came out of the #BringBoomBack movement, which seeks to bring control of Skibidi Toilet back to its original creator Dafuq!?Boom! (Alexey Gerasimov).
Since October 2025, Skibidi Toilet fans have been fighting against the actions of Invisible Narratives (Inviz), who have treated creators and fans poorly since they took over the franchise. Alexey himself has been unable to speak about Skibidi or Inviz since before October 2025, which has fueled fan concern, speculation and outrage at Inviz.
Alexey created and animated the viral independent series completely by himself starting in February 2023. After experiencing huge growth on YouTube, Alexey assigned the Skibidi Toilet IP rights to Invisible Narratives in October 2023. Inviz said the IP assignment was revocable, meaning Alexey could take back the rights. In May 2025, Alexey agreed to make the assignment permanent by selling his channel and IP to Inviz. Alexey is now an executive producer with Inviz.
The controversy started immediately after Inviz assumed full control of Alexey’s channel and released a new side series called Skibidi Emergence. Fans expressed outrage about the series’ poor quality compared to Alexey’s original animation. The series’ plot did not match up to the original series, and fans speculated that Alexey did not have creative control over production.
In response, chaos broke out in the fandom. The Skibidi niche contains many fan creator channels, analysis channels and reactor channels. Many of them criticized the new series and speculated about Alexey’s sudden absence.
Before becoming executive producer, Alexey had always stayed in contact with many Skibidi Youtubers. After Emergence came out, Alexey abruptly cut off contact with everyone in the community. Fans and creators believed he could not speak on the situation due to a non-disclosure agreement and non-disparagement clause in his contract with Inviz.
On November 6, 2025, Inviz held a call with creators who were part of their “Creator Alliance,” which is a group of Skibidi Youtubers who have contracts with Inviz to be able to use Skibidi content in their videos. The call, led by Adam Goodman, did not go well. Creators shared criticism of Emergence, as well as the company’s approach to the franchise, but felt that their comments were dismissed. They also pointed out Adam’s strong focus on increasing revenue instead of addressing creative concerns.
Creators asked about Alexey, but were not given clear answers about where he was, what he did for Emergence, or why he wasn’t speaking to anyone. Many creators walked away from the call feeling that their fears about Alexey’s lack of involvement were confirmed.
In response, Skibidi Youtuber Zacdoor and other creators started the #BringBoomBack movement. Initially, the goal was to encourage Inviz to give full creative control over all production and animation back to Alexey. The goal of the movement changed over time as more information came out.
Frustration only grew as Inviz did not make any official public statements about the backlash, nor did they address fans directly in a public way.
The situation quickly escalated on November 9 when Youtuber Ibio75 leaked his contract with Invisible Narratives, saying he felt that their contract was predatory. Ibio75 had been part of Inviz’s Creator Alliance as an analysis Youtuber. He said he felt taken advantage of having signed the contract, and argued that many of its clauses are unfair.
Creators continued to criticise Inviz’s actions as they still remained publicly silent. The dispute escalated when multiple outspoken creators were kicked out of the private Creator Alliance discord server. This happened after analysis Youtuber Iron Cameraman sent a long message with criticism addressed to Inviz in the private Creator Alliance discord. Other creators supported his message and sent their own messages. Inviz kicked them out claiming they broke their code of conduct, engaged in harassment or leaked private information. But multiple creators argue they did not do any of those things.
In late November, Ibio75 shared concerning old private messages he had with Alexey. In one of them, Alexey said he felt scammed and lied to by the people he works with. In another message, Alexey said the entire future of Skibidi Toilet was at stake, as well as his own future.
Alexey’s very close friend, Evan Purr, released a statement even more concerning. He said Alexey had been very unhappy with Inviz ever since he started working with them. He started slipping into a more depressed state as a result. Then in mid-2025, Alexey stopped communicating normally with Evan, and saying he couldn’t comment on Skibidi.
In December, Iron Cameraman interviewed a former employee of Inviz. The former employee said when Alexey assigned the IP to Inviz in 2023, the U.S. had sanctions against Russia that made it difficult for Alexey, as a Russian national, to get payments from U.S. companies.
The former employee said the 2023 agreement between Alexey and Inviz stipulated that Alexey had to migrate in order to collect money from Inviz. The former employee also mentioned that Alexey couldn’t make partnerships with companies for things like merchandise on his own because of sanctions. If Alexey wanted to grow the franchise beyond Youtube, he had little choice but to sign the rights over to a company.
