Ibio Contract Leak

November 9, 2025

Ibio75, a member of Invisible Narrative’s “Creator Alliance” MCN, announced that he would be leaking his contract with Inviz.

Ibio said he felt taken advantage of by Inviz. As someone who isn’t fluent in English, Ibio felt that he did not fully understand the contract when he signed and did not have a lawyer review it before signing. After Emergence came out, he talked to a lawyer about it, who told him it was an unfair contract.

“Unfortunately I spoke with lawyer only after signing, and he said that I shouldn’t have signed it because it’s very one-sided and corporate. I’ll break down to you shortly what lawyer say about terms which are unfair,” Ibio said.

Many community members tried to persuade him not to leak it as it was seen as a very legally risky move. However, Ibio75 decided to post it on his Discord, as he felt the contents needed to be seen.

The contract can also be downloaded in Ibio’s discord server – https://discord.gg/4vZy7h2ve

Here’s what Ibio said in his post about the contract leak: “From what others have sent me, this isn’t the worst deal the alliance has made. I believe you shouldn’t be afraid to publicly expose injustices. I have nothing against Inviz, but I want them held accountable.”

Ibio described, in his own words, the issues he had with the agreement he had signed. The following is an excerpt from Ibio’s analysis from talking to a lawyer:

Ibio’s Summary Of His Contract Terms

Licensor Gains Perpetual Control Over My Work

Clause 2 (“Ownership & License”)
This contract made me grant perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable rights for all my videos and content (“Licensee Content”) – not just Skibidi elements.
Inviz can edit, modify, exploit, and re-distribute any of my work “in all media throughout the universe” with no time limit and no obligation to pay beyond the creator share.
My content can be repackaged, monetized, or reused by Inviz or its partners forever, even if I leave “the Alliance”.
🟥 Danger: This effectively transfers creative control and commercial use of his videos to Inviz indefinitely – a backdoor IP grab.
Termination Clauses Are One-Sided

Clause 8(b) allows Inviz to terminate:
For any reason or “no reason at all” with only 5 business days’ notice.
For alleged “Violations” or “brand harm” determined solely at Inviz discretion.
Meanwhile, I:
Must give 30 days’ notice to terminate.
On termination, must delete all my videos containing Licensed or Derivative Content (8d).
🟥 Danger: Inviz can end the deal instantly, keep my videos and earnings, and force me to wipe my channel clean.
Payment Terms Are Vague and Easily Manipulated

Clause 3 (“Creator Share”)
I get 70% of “Net Licensor Revenue” – but that’s after multiple undefined deductions:
a) “reasonable, substantiated costs,”
b) “amounts owed to third parties,”
c) “pro-rata insurance,”
d) “10% distribution fee.”
Payment only triggers after exceeding $100, and may be channeled through an MCN/CMS under their terms — not mine.
🟥 Danger: Inviz controls the accounting definitions and platform — I can’t audit or verify revenue. It’s realistic I will never see the 70%. Like ZacDoor, I still was not paid.

Content Control and Censorship

Clauses 4 & 12(c)
I’m forced to “promptly comply” with Inviz’s creative feedback and edit/remove videos within 3 days.
Inviz alone decides what is “brand safe.”
I must avoid any statements “negatively impacting the Licensor (Inviz)”
🟥 Danger: Full censorship power. Any criticism or deviation can lead to takedown or expulsion. Violates freedom of expression.
Confidentiality Gag Order

Clause 10
The agreement itself must be kept secret — I cannot discuss its terms publicly or even show it to others.
Only exceptions: legal compulsion or Licensor’s written consent.
🟥 Danger: This prevents transparency or whistleblowing. Even sharing proof of unfair treatment would breach contract.
Liability and Indemnity Tilted Against Me

Clause 12(e)
I must indemnify Inviz for nearly any claim or expense, including Inviz’s legal fees — even for minor mistakes in my content.

Clause 12(f)
If Inviz breaches the agreement, my damages are only capped at $1,000.

Automatic Renewal Trap

Clause 8(a)
Automatically renews every year unless Inviz gives notice not to renew
I remain locked in without noticing until it’s too late.
🟥 Danger: Silent renewal allows indefinite continuation of unfair terms.
Unilateral Amendments

Clause 12(g)
Inviz can change the agreement at any time with 30-day notice.
🟥 Danger: My consent isn’t required — Inviz can rewrite the deal while I’m still bound.
Jurisdiction & Arbitration

Clause 9
All disputes go to binding arbitration in New York, under JAMS, with no class actions.
Inviz can still seek court orders (“injunctive relief”) but I cannot.
🟥 Danger: Expensive U.S. arbitration in another country; I’m from Panama, and I have no access to justice.
Language Disclaimer (Spanish Section)

Final page: states that the contract was “negotiated in English.” Unfortunately, my English isn’t very good, and at the time, I didn’t understand it myself. Inviz employees explained it to me and assured me that the contract was excellent.
🟥 Warning: This protected Inviz from any claims based on misunderstanding, and any ambiguity would be interpreted against me

Fallout

After the leak, community members began analysing the contract itself in detail, questioning whether some of its terms were unusually broad, one-sided, or difficult for creators to challenge.

One Reddit post by community member Cool Cat argued that the contract may have been too extreme.

Ibio addresses people concerned about him leaking his contract.

He said he hadn’t received payments from Inviz. He talked to a lawyer who explained how bad the contract is. He’s not afraid of a lawsuit, and believes that exposing injustice is worth the risk. He also addresses people doubting his claim that Emergence cost $100K. He also suggested it was made by an outside studio rather than in-house.

Creator Baldyoj reported to the community that the Emergence studio was from Vancouver Canada. Baldyoj also claimed that Inviz was looking to hire an India-based studio to continue production of Emergence, and that in fact they’ve already begun hiring some workers – which can be seen on LinkedIn. However he doesn’t have proof of the animation studio being in Canada, nor the name of the studio. For that reason, this claim should be treated with caution.
