Invisible Narratives renamed the DaFuq!?Boom! YouTube channel and changed its handle to ‘skibidi’. They also changed the channel’s profile picture, banner, and description, and unlinked Alexey’s remaining personal accounts.
Invisible Narratives’ first public statement in December 2025 announced that they planned to make this change, but the change had not taken effect until now.
Fans immediately criticized the decision to rebrand what many viewed as Alexey’s personal channel.
Many argued that a channel built on Alexey’s own work had been replaced with generic corporate-feeling branding, and viewed the rebrand as a signal that Invisible Narratives intended to detach the franchise from its creator.
Shortly after, the channel’s public subscriber count dropped by 100,000.

It later dropped another 100,000, reaching 47.1 million subscribers after being at 47.3 million before the rebrand.
