Steven Asarch’s Investigative Article Published

After months of investigation, journalist Steven Asarch published a major piece for Aftermath titled “Skibidi Toilet Community Goodwill Circling The Drain After Hollywood Studio Takes Over.”

The article drew on interviews with ten content creators including Iron Cameraman, ZacDoor, and ibio75, as well as a rare interview with Alexey Gerasimov himself, and direct comment from Invisible Narratives. It was one of the first in-depth pieces on the situation from a mainstream games and internet culture outlet.

Key Revelations

According to the article, the IP assignment dated October 12, 2023 gave Invisible Narratives all rights to the Skibidi Toilet series and concept, including all content existing at that time or later created. Alexey later agreed to a permanent rights transfer in May 2025, receiving the role of Executive Producer, a first look deal, and director credit for significant episodes during a defined transition year. Both parties are bound by mutual confidentiality clauses on the financial and contractual specifics.

The Creator Alliance “overview document” required creators to share 30% of revenue after the first $1,000, run 60 seconds of ads per month, keep Alliance communications confidential, and provide Invisible Narratives with visibility into their YouTube Studio. Ad revenue was routed through Invisible Narratives rather than directly to creators, with multiple creators telling Aftermath that this structure led to significant payment delays.

ZacDoor confirmed he had designed the Speakerman base scenebuild for episode 79, a job that took nearly three weeks, for which Invisible Narratives initially offered between $500 and $750 after the work was already completed. They eventually agreed on $1,500. He was later approached with an offer to work on eight full episodes for $2,400 ($300 per episode), which he declined.

Alexey confirmed to Aftermath that the leaked Discord messages between him and Ibio were legitimate, that had circulated in November 2025 showing him expressing distress about his franchise.

Invisible Narratives confirmed to Aftermath that the Creator Alliance had been formally paused following the release of Emergence.

Inviz Holds Calls With Creators

Also on March 30, a small group of creators and community members took part in a call with Adam Goodman, in which Invisible Narratives reportedly showed private business communications between Inviz and Alexey.

Alexey Responds To Lore Question On X

Around this time, a fan reached out to Alexey’s Twitter account via DM asking a lore question about episode 79 Part 2, specifically why the Cameramen were affected by the TV Titan’s red screen even though they all had protective lenses.

Alexey replied directly, explaining that the more powerful beam was simply too strong for lenses to block entirely. He noted that lenses absorb rather than fully deflect beams, and that even Titan TV Man’s screen output was enough to cause interference and glitching in Cameramen with lenses. He added that 67 lenses might have done the trick.

The exchange was notable because, according to later reporting, Alexey was restricted from publicly discussing Invisible Narratives, Skibidi Toilet, or his contract, but still appeared willing to answer lore questions through his personal X account, the one platform widely considered to remain fully under his personal control.

Alexey’s Email of Concern in May 2025

A DKIM-confirmed email exchange from May 6, 2025 between Alexey and a fan surfaced publicly in 2026. In it, Alexey was asked when he expected the next episode to be released. He replied:
“Trying my best. There’s a lot of concerns I have about my partner Invisible Narratives at the moment which heavily distracts and worries me. But I’ll do my best to keep going.“

The fan subsequently asked Alexey for permission to share what he had written about his “law firm” (referring to Inviz) and the episode. Two days later, on May 8, 2025, Alexey replied: “Everything’s fine and worked out. No need to share and confuse people.“

The May 6 message is significant as a rare direct expression of Alexey’s concerns at the time during the period leading up to the permanent IP sale, which was agreed to the next day.

Alexey’s May 8th softening took place the day after he agreed to proceed with the sale.

MonsterUP’s #BringBoomBack Animation

Popular fan animator MonsterUP published an animation in support of Alexey and the BringBoomBack movement.

The video quickly circulated through the fandom, climbing to 1.2 million views as of May 2026.
