Boom Becomes “Executive Producer”, and Livestream Hypes Up New Release

October 24th, 2025

The Announcement of Alexey’s New Role

The DaFuq!?Boom! channel posted a community statement, which was also shared on all of Alexey’s other socials (besides X) that would mark a turning point for the future of Skibidi Toilet.

After over two years of building the series entirely on his own, it was announced announced Alexey would be stepping into the role of “Executive Producer” alongside his partners at Invisible Narratives. He would continue to direct what were called “special episodes” and shape the world creatively, but a full team of animators would now be taking over day-to-day production. The statement then described the move as one of growth, both for the series and for Alexey as a creator, and closed with the words: “This next era is going to be peak.”

Shortly after the post went live, something started happening across Alexey’s social media accounts. Without any explanation, Alexey’s account profile picture changed to a green-tinted version of his usual avatar across every platform except X. The community picked up on it almost immediately, with fans on r/skibiditoilet noting that he had gone green with no context given at all. It was cryptic and appeared intentional.

Intercepted Transmissions Livestream

Then, in the early hours of the same day, a livestream was uploaded on the DaFuqBoom channel. The stream was titled “skibidi toilet: intercepted transmissions,” and it was unlike anything the fandom had seen before. Rather than a typical upload or trailer, the stream presented itself as a live camera feed, with the POV placed inside various locations from across the Skibidi Toilet universe. Fans watching could recognise iconic spots from the series’ history, rendered in what looked like noticeably upgraded visuals.

The description changed over time, one of them read: “camera online…frequency shift detected…”

The livestream didn’t just loop without changes. Over time, the camera would shift to new locations from the series. The community began cataloguing what they were seeing, with Reddit threads filling up with screenshots and speculation. One popular theory suggested the stream was showing the aftermath of past episodes, with fires still burning and cities still in ruin. Others decided to critique it and give their thoughts on the situation. Around this same period, the DaFuqBoom channel also updated its YouTube banner, swapping in what appeared to be new character models built with noticeably upgraded visuals compared to anything seen in the original series, further fuelling the sense that something major was on the horizon.

ibio75 dropped a significant tease in his Discord server. Responding to a question from another creator named Dattebayo, he posted an image of the Unreal Engine logo. The tease suggested the upcoming episode would be made in Unreal Engine 5, a major departure from Source Filmmaker which Boom had used throughout the series’ history. The community’s reaction was electric.

A Discord user named CrazyY, posting on October 26th, simply said “It’s true,” seemingly confirming the Unreal Engine news, and racked up hundreds of reactions. Meanwhile, Boredpanda, an employee at Invisible Narratives, had been quietly hyping things up in various community spaces. In one exchange, when asked whether he had seen the new episode, he told ibio75 it was “going to be absolutely insane,” and described it as fast-paced, cinematic, and something that would “really set the tone for what’s coming next.” He added that it might feel a little different from past episodes but was, in his words, “an absolutely insane ep.” In a later message, he kept it simple: “It looks beautiful man.” PhoenixBoyJoel, another Invisible Narratives employee watching the conversation unfold, commented that Boredpanda was being so candid that the episode had to be something special.

At some point during the stream’s run, a countdown timer appeared on screen, ticking down in the corner of the feed. Speculation exploded across Reddit and Discord about what exactly would happen when it hit zero. The sense of anticipation that had been building for days reached a peak.

Around the same time the hype was building, Alexey and ibio75 were exchanging messages in private DMs in the hours leading up to and during the final stretch of the intercepted transmissions livestream. When ibio asked whether Alexey was heading to Japan already, Alexey responded with a Vin Diesel “I got nothing but time” meme.

When Ibio tried to call it a “semi-vacation,” Alexey corrected him. “Semi-vacation? This is a life-style now lmao.” Ibio’s response said it all: “boom now he’s a businessman?“

When asked about the new team of animators and whether he saw potential in them, he responded with a Leonardo DiCaprio “we shall see…” meme and nothing else.

It was during these exact conversations that Alexey sent Ibio a video of himself at a concert in Japan.

While the countdown was ticking down and the community was losing its mind over what was about to drop, Alexey was abroad at a live show with little idea how the livestream was even going to end. To many fans, it looked like the operation was moving without him.

Looking back at all of it, the picture it paints is of someone who had genuinely handed the keys over and stepped back from direct control. The messages gave some fans the impression that he did not know much about the new team, may not have controlled the profile picture change, and was not actively managing the channel at that moment. Whether any of that was intentional or not doesn’t matter. He was in Japan at a concert while his franchise was in mid-transformation.
