After the release of Emergence and the resulting chaos in the fandom, Alexey stopped replying to all of his closest friends in the community. He did not address any fan complaints or make any public statements.
However, shortly after the release of Emergence, a community member known as Bellrubi contacted Alexey via email, outlining issues they noticed with the release.
In response, Bellrubi received an A.I. style email response from Alexey, seemingly laced with bolded hints.
The Reddit post sharing the exchange was titled “BoomGPT has returned”
Fans immediately noticed hints in parts of the text that were in bold: “My fans are very smart”, “they always notice everything”, “not explained outright”, “even louder.” Then he implies that things cannot be “explained outright.”
Fans interpreted these bolded phrases as hints that they should look more closely at the situation, consider all the evidence, and speak up even louder about it. The bolding was widely read as deliberate and targeted, rather than random corporate or AI-style formatting. Something that reads more like Alexey trying to communicate while not speaking directly.
The phrase “little secrets and layered details that are not explained outright” felt obvious for people who had been piecing together everything that had happened around Part 3 and the full episode. Alexey’s style had always involved leaving small clues hidden for his community of analyst fans to discover.
Combined with the line that the community should be “even louder” many read it as Alexey quietly encouraging people to keep digging and keep pushing, as if there was more to find and that he wanted them to find it – even if he couldn’t say so plainly. Whether that reading is correct or whether it was simply an instance of generic “corporate positivity” was open to interpretation. Regardless, it became one of the most discussed emails of the entire period.
This reddit user believes the email hints suggest that Alexey wanted fans to express criticism of the new series.
On the same day, YouTuber and close friend of Alexey, OneMoreAnimator, received another A.I. style response, this time to a Discord message. Alexey’s message is not how he usually responded to fan criticism. Before he became executive producer, Alexey spoke casually to fans and usually addressed criticism in his normal writing style.
