ZacDoor shared previously unknown details about the production of episode 79, drawn from his direct working relationship with Alexey on this episode.
ZacDoor revealed that the original plans for the Speakermen Base introductory sequence were significantly more ambitious than what made it into the final episode. Boom had asked him to build scenes for several additional rooms. The story was planned to unfold as a guided tour of the base. As viewed by the POV, the Speakerman would gather the wounded and the Cameramen into a transport vehicle and take them through different sections, dropping some off at a medical bay and others at the main hangar, with many more rooms to be shown along the way.
Then, abruptly, Alexey cancelled all of it. He contacted ZacDoor and told him simply: “Send me the current version.“
ZacDoor said he had no doubt that Alexey had received a deadline at that moment, forcing him to release the episode as quickly as possible and cut anything that had not been finished.
